Calligraphy practice (RG): Psalm of Nephi excerpt

Published:
1.2K Views

Description

A section of the "Psalm of Nephi" from 2 Nephi 4: 31-32, written with a hand-cut quill in my Reformed Gothic script.

Transliterated:

O Lord, wilt thou redeem my soul? Wilt thou deliver me out of the hands of mine enemies? Wilt thou make me that I may shake at the appearance of sin?
May the gates of hell be shut continually before me, because that my heart is broken and my spirit is contrite!

Thanks! I heard one setting of it a few years ago, I think in General Conference. I seem to recall it was a tune similar to "Finlandia."

I think someone should commission Arvo Pärt to do a setting of it.
